Bill's Botanical Forays

This is one of the most bizarre sights I have found on the refuge. It is tree growing around a concrete block, almost as if it is trying to swallow it. The tree had no leaves yet, but I believe it was a Southern Red Oak (Quercus falcata) based on the bark and the leaves on the forest floor around it. I will check it out later to be sure.
