This time we will look at an obscure plant called Camphor Pluchea or Marsh Fleabane. Its scientific name is <em>Pluchea camphorata<\/em>. This member of Asteraceae is listed by the Maryland State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as a endangered species (S1 E).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.botanybill.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC18011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4341 size-medium alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.botanybill.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC18011-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"_DSC1801\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.botanybill.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC18011-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.botanybill.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC18011-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.botanybill.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/DSC18011-2x1.jpg 2w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This species grows in clumps in a narrow stretch of the Patuxent River on the refuge.
